Europa Point

Europa Point is a prominent landmark located at the southernmost tip of Gibraltar, a British Overseas Territory situated at the entrance of the Mediterranean Sea. Europa Point offers stunning views and serves as a meeting point between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. It is known for its strategic location and has played a significant role throughout Gibraltar's history. One of the prominent features at Europa Point is the Trinity Lighthouse, also known as the Europa Point Lighthouse. This iconic lighthouse has guided ships entering or leaving the Strait of Gibraltar since its construction in 1841.

Also Europa Point is home to the Ibrahim-al-Ibrahim Mosque, known as the King Fahd Mosque. Completed in 1997 as a gift from King Fahd of Saudi Arabia, the mosque stands as a symbol of religious diversity and cultural harmony in Gibraltar. Visitors to Europa Point can explore the area's scenic beauty, walk along the promenade, and enjoy panoramic views of the Strait of Gibraltar, the African coastline, and the Rock of Gibraltar itself. It is also a popular spot for birdwatching, as migratory birds often pass through the area.

If you purchase the hopper bus ticket all you need to do is jump on Route 2 bus and it will take you all the way to Europa Point. If you happen to come in through the frontier or arrive on a flight to Gibraltar airport, you can get the Citibus Route 5 or Route 10 straight into market place in the town centre where you can then connect with Route 2.

If you are a cruise liner passenger and prefer to use the public bus routes with the special hopper ticket, you can also either walk to central market place which is only a 15-20 minute walk from the cruise port, or get the Citibus Route 5 or Route 10 which will take you to market place where you can then connect to Route 2.
